ECE Castle Scholarship
The ECE Castle Scholarship is generous funding from Samuel N. and Mary Castle Foundation. Eligibility Criteria
To receive an Early Childhood Education Castle Scholarship, you must:
- Be a student at the Chaminade University of Honolulu working towards an early childhood education degree or a course.
- Be an active member of early childhood education in Hawaii, serving a diverse population.
- Be a student in good standing with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5.
To Apply
New applicants should submit the following:
- A completed application form
- A personal statement that includes information on diverse population served
- Your most recent grade transcript, if applicable
Renewal applicant should submit the following:
- A completed renewal application form
- A personal statement indicating how ECE Castle Scholarship assisted you in serving young children in Hawaii

- Undergraduate applicants will receive up to $400 per credit for a maximum of 45 credits until funds are exhausted.
- Graduate applicants will receive up to $600 per credit for a maximum of 30 credits until funds are exhausted.
- For special programs, award amounts and application deadlines may vary.
